for Critical Thinking Instruction

OCCTI is an educational center, providing seminars, workshops and in-field training and observations. We disseminate concise and comprehensive information on current literature, nethodologies and upcoming conferences, and centralize networking between teachers in Ohio on infusing Critical Thinking in modern education.

OCCTI provides teachers with ideas to promote and encourage the acquisition of knowledge by learners through direct participation and involvement through all available levels and modes of learning. Direct experience enables the learner to acquire knowledge on an individual and personal level.

OCCTI believes that learners who are encouraged to become involved in and responsible for the learning process, and to reflect upon that learning, acquire a solid foundation upon which to build their sense of self-responsibility, self-esteem and personal empowerment.

Through our web site and a discussion list dedicated to Critical Thinking and Educational Reform, we are available for on-line support, continuing development and moderated discussions.
