George Michael Evica has announced he is leaving JFK Lancer to pursue "a mountain of personal research and writing."
Evica, Professor Emeritus at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, announced his decision to retire shortly after the conclusion of the third annual November in Dallas conference. He served as Program Chair for the conference, as well as Senior Editor of Lancer's Kennedy Assassination Chronicles quarterly newsletter.

Evica's announcement was published in Vol. 4 Issue 3 of the Chronicles. Debra Conway and Tom Jones said they felt "fortunate to have had George Michael work with us for the past three years."
In making his announcement, Evica said, "I must concentrate on finishing a series of JFK books in the coming year ... most of these books will be completed in 1999." His works-in-progress include:

His previous works include And We Are All Mortal. The late Sylvia Meagher called this a "standard reference work" on the JFK case.
