Item Number Eight:Posner vs. the Photographs: Parkland POSNER (p. 240, footnote): As part of his attempt to refute the acoustics evidence relied upon by the House Select Committee on Assassinations, he reports: "McClain was photographed accompanying Mrs. Kennedy into the hospital." In fact, none of the press photographers had caught up with the limousine at Parkland Hospital until after the limousine's occupants had entered the hospital. The earliest known photographs were all taken after that point. I have heard a report that a teenage boy took a photograph of the interior of the limousine after the occupants went inside, but his film was seized and exposed by the Secret Service. The only known photograph which remotely resembles what Posner describes is the Dallas Morning News photo showing Jackie leaving Parkland Hospital and entering the hearse. The photo shows six Dallas police officers, one of them a helmeted motorcycle officer, his face only partly visible, who may be McLain (the correct spelling).
