History:William Henry Perrin: "Possibly, old Conrad Smith died before young Kepler (Andrew Kepler who died about 1912). He was buried on his own land,
and a huge stone placed over his grave by his son, who carved on it his father's name. In after years, the bowlder (sic) was used for the cornerstone of a barn." Local historian,
Mike Mahaney, has placed the cemetery in hte northwest quarter of Section 17 in Green Twp. He further indicates that it was J. Baughman, a later owner of this property, who used the boulder for his barn.
