- Before Summit County was formed in 1840 Northfield Township belonged to several other counties. The date of 1800 has been used as a reference point since it is close to the 1803 date when Ohio became a state.
1800 - 1808: The area of Northfield Twp was in Trumbull County.
(Trumbull County was established in 1800.)1808 - 1812: The area of Northfield Twp was in Portage County.
(Portage County was established in 1808.)1840 - Present: The area of Northfield Twp is in Summit County.
(Summit County was formed in 1840.)

The following information is being provided to give you an idea of the location, or approximate location, of all known township cemeteries. It will also help identify any cemeteries where the gravestones or burial records have been copied and, if known, where this information can be found.
ALL SAINTS CEMETERY:
Located at 480 Highland Road, Northfield OH 44067.
Burial information is at the cemetery. (On the south east corner of the intersection of Highland Road and Brandywine Road.)BRANDYWINE CEMETERY:
Destroyed. Gravestone inscriptions published in the Chapter newsletter "The Highpoint" June 1989, pg 44. Originally in Boston Twp but was annexed by NorthfieldTownship in 1819. Was located near Rt 8, south of Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery, in a woody area in back of 2110 and 2128Brandywine Road. The bodies and stones were moved in 1970 to Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery, in Northfield Twp, to make way for new Rt 271.NORTHFIELD - MACEDONIA CEMETERY:
Located in Northfield Center on the northwest corner of Valley View Road; where Valley View Road intersects with Olde Eight. Burial information at the cemetery - P O Box 177; Olde Rt 8 & Valley View Rd; Northfield OH 44067.Notice to our readers:
