Portage Twp on the south
Bath Twp on the westBefore Summit County was formed in 1840 Northampton Township belonged to several other counties. The date of 1800 has been used as a reference point since it is close to the 1803 date when Ohio became a state.
1800 - 1808: The area of Northampton Twp was in Trumbull County.
(Trumbull County was established in 1800.)1808 - 1812: The area of Northampton Twp was in Portage County.
(Portage County was established in 1808.)1840 - Present: The area of Northampton Twp is in Summit County.
(Summit County was formed in 1840.)

BOTZUM CEMETERY:
Located on Yellow Creek Road just west of Riverview Road, where Yellow Creek Road joins West Bath Road. Established sometime in the 1700's and is believed to have had 150-175 burials. Only a handful of gravestones remain. Established in 1960. Located at 4724 State Rd; Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221. On the west side of State Road north of where Quick Road intersects State Road) Burial information from the cemetery office at 4441 State Rd; Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221.OAKWOOD CEMETERY:
