Maple Lawn Cemetery aka Darrowville Maple Lawn Cemetery

Location: Maple Lawn is located on the East side of Darrow Road (Rt 91) just South of junction with Fishcreek Rd.

Size:Approx. 2.5 acres

History:In about 1807 the first adult burial was made on one acre of land donated by Joseph & Sally Prior Darrow. In 1871 1 1/2 acres was purchased from Chas. & Sabra Darrow. In Nov of 1885 The Ladies Benevolent Society was organized. In 1897 these ladies under the name, "The Darrowville Ladies Cemetery Association", took over the trusteeship and planted the first memorial flower bed. In April 1961 the upkeep of the cemetery was turned over to the city of Stow, but the interest of the group still remains.
