Summit
County, Ohio Cemeteries
An
Overview

| For locations of each cemetery, information about records that may be available elsewhere, and work in progress, go to the township list and click on the township you want. |
Established cemeteries can be protected and preserved but not all of our collective ancestors were buried in established cemeteries. Many were buried in small family plots on their property or somewhere along a migration route west. It is unfortunate that many of these burial grounds have been lost to time, progress, and neglect; so much so that we will never find them.
This page will provide you with a list of known cemeteries, established or otherwise, for each of Summit County's original sixteen (16) townships and links to whatever kinds of records The Summit County Chapter, OGS has for them.
Please notice we listed the townships and have placed the cemeteries in the township of their origin. Some cemeteries have gone by more than one name. Cemeteries are listed by their common names with alternate names in parenthesis.
This page will be under continous construction.
Information regarding the cemeteries listed here will be updated (or added)
as it becomes available. You may want to check this site periodically for
the most current information. The names that are in blue or purple are active links and
there is some information about that cemetery. Just "double click" on the cemetery name.
"The Cemeteries that have inscription readings should not be considered to be complete or up to date.
As Inscription readings for existing cemeteriesare updated, we will revise the website as needed"
