Location: On Swigart
Road, off the west side of Manchester Road, about one half mile south of
Rt. 619.
Status: Maintained by the
township.
History: This cemetery came
into use by at least 1848. In 1861 John & Rebecca Kyser and Henry &
Sabina Daily deeded land to the Trustees of Kyser Burying Ground for a
public buring ground. Although the cemetery was heavily vandalized several
years ago, it has been restored and maintained.
Copied: Gravestone inscriptions
have been published in our 1980 book "Summit County Cemetery Inscriptions
Vol 2" [pages 39-41].
At this time we do not have the manpower
to put the inscriptions online. The following surname index, with book
page numbers, is for people buried at this cemetery for whom there was
a gravestone and inscription.
