Himelright Cemetery

Franklin Twp, Summit County, Ohio

Location:  North side of Vanderhoof Road, west of the railroad tracks.
Status:  Abandoned and probably gone.
History:  It was on the Charles Himelrigh farm and the earliest date was 1831. There are no known records but early residents of the area estimate there may have been 50 - 60 graves.
Copied:  By Miss Gladys Chamberlain & Mrs Bertha Sisler in 1939 and by William McIntosh in 1958. The following inscriptions are a compilation of these readings and were published in our 1978 book "Summit County Cemetery Inscriptions Vol 1"  [pages 94-95].
