This website, The Colored Pencil Gallery
of the Akron-Summit Public Library, showcases the renderings of area
artists using colored pencil.
For the past decade, many of these artists
have displayed their work online as members of the Canton district chapter
of the Colored Pencil Society of America and later as members of the Ohio
Colored Pencil Alliance. The artwork is shown both in
individual gallery pages as well as in colored pencil competitions. The
individual pages and show participation represent only those artists
listed to the right.
The Colored Pencil Society of America has
over 1600 members throughout the US and 14 other countries.
On this website, you can see the efforts of area artists in promoting
colored pencil as a fine art medium. To learn more about the national
