I have info on the wallet. It belongs to
Beatrice C. Beasley, 608 Euclid Ave. Akron, Ohio, her mother is Mrs. Ehethel
Beasley. She was a member of the 1955 - 1956 West Junior High School Girls Club
the Westeeners. Many pictures, she was is a black lady. That should be enough
info to find her. If there is anybody living around the old place and would like to visit
I'd be happy to show them around, get a little history, visit the old auditorium or the
cafeteria kitchen the home of Mrs. Wilson's chili. I forgot to tell you, the wallet was
under the front stage and probably lost around Christmas because there is a piece
of notebook paper that has lyrics for Deck the Halls on it. Thanks Again, Ron
HI,
My name is Ron Berish, I'm the maintenance supervisor at West. I started here in June of
2007. I've been doing a lot of looking around and find neat things every day. I'd like a little
history. When was it made into a junior high, was the new gym built for the junior high?
Was there a trash chute in the halls, a dumb waiter, how did things get from the first floor
to the fourth floor? When was the stage extended out two feet? I found some girls wallet
under the stage front, has pictures and lunch ticket in it. Stolen or just lost? Maybe, with
your help we can return it to her after all these years. Found your web site about two
weeks after last years reunion. Maybe this year you all could vist the old school.
Thanks, Ron Berish
