ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER

MEMBERS GALLERY PAGE

In a departure from previous year's web site content, we have now began to present the work of individual club members. Several members have agreed to work with your webhelper to submit photos of their choosing to display on our web site. Jane Turzillo's photos are the first to make it on display, followed by Gardner Boone, and now Elaine Griffith. Photos by Don Griffith to follow. We encourage members to participate in this opportunity to showcase their work!

Competition Rules

Rules are generally unchanged from last year. There will be four categories for competition: Color Prints, B&W Prints, Film Slides, and Digital Slides. In all categories except Film Slides, there will be a Class A (more experienced) and a Class B (less experienced). Digital manipulation is permited for all digital images. Images may be submitted only once for competitions, and so images submitted in prior years are therefore excluded from further submissions. We will be dropping the award for Most Top Shots at the end of the year, and, instead, we will count the accumulated scores for only the top 18 images in each category per person. This is intended to allow members to miss a couple of competitions and yet not suffer a point penalty for not having made submissions.

Annual Awards Dinner May 28th at the Art Center!

This year we have decided to have a catered dinner at the Art Center. Catering will be by DiFeo's, and will feature ham and baked chicken, parsley potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad and rolls, and desert! Cost is only $12.50, which should be a relief from increasing prices at local restaurants. Also, refreshments including wine will be provided, but members are also welcome to BYOB if they desire.

Please send your reservation before Wednesday, May 21, along with check, to: Eilert Ofstead, 610 Brookpark Dr, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.

Please join us for an enjoyable meal, and to recognize the acheivments of our members!

Don't Forget: Guidelines for Digital Slide Submissions

• File naming: your name first, then a short descriptive title, then numeral 1,2, or 3.

In a change from last year's procedures, you are now invited to bring your digital slides for competition to the club the night of the competition. They should be brought in on either a small USB flash drive (very inexpensive and re-usable), or on a CD. Same limitiations as before, only three slides per month, and no slide may be submitted more than one time for club competitions. Thus, slides submitted for previous year's competitions are also excluded.
